3 Foot Ninja are a young indie/punk trio based in the wilds of the North Yorks Moors. Formed in 2004, they've steadily built up a reputation for being one the region's most exciting and talented outfits: unique vocals, catchy hook lines and melodies, driving energy... The band's line-up has seen a couple of changes as they've developed. They're now fronted by Jordan Bell on Guitar and Vocals, with his brother Joe, on Bass and Sam Power on Drums.
3 Foot Ninja are one of the youngest gigging bands in the North East. Their tight live shows are played with an ability and professionalism way beyond their years. They've given fantastic performances at festivals such as Blakey Ridge (named in the "Top 10 UK mini-festivals in Britain), Whitby Musicport (one of the fastest growing festivals in Britain), Middlesbrough Music Live, Stockton Riverside Fringe Festivals and Whitby Now.
They've also played at a range of high profile local venues, including Middlesbrough Town Hall, opening for British Sea Power at the Empire, Middlesbrough and headlining at the Arc, Stockton in addition to dozens of pub and club gigs: the Forum, Darlington, the Studio, Hartlepool, City Screen, York etc etc.
They recently supported The Subways at Leeds Cockpit and Manchester Academy. Every gig 3 Foot Ninja play receives a fantastic reaction from the audience.
3 Foot Ninja released their debut, limited edition album in February 2006, which, along with a single "Pointless Review", sold extremely well. Their second single "Bloke I Don't Know" was launched at a performance on the main stage at Stockton Riverside Festival on August 3rd 2007 and continues to receive substantial local radio airplay. Despite their age the band reached the last 18 shortlist in the prestigious PRS Foundation Unsigned Awards 2007 - judged by industry experts.
